Website care & hosting

Someone owns the site after launch.

Hosting, monitoring, updates, backups, and the queue of small fixes. One retainer, one number to call, and a site that stays fast and online instead of quietly rotting between projects.

The problem

Nobody owns the site until it breaks.

Without ongoing ownership, updates accumulate, backups go untested, and a small issue becomes an outage on the day you can least afford one. A care plan covers hosting, security, backups, performance, and the steady queue of small fixes under a defined monthly scope.

What's included

One retainer, one number to call.

Fast, monitored hosting with SSL and uptime alerting

Platform, plugin, and dependency updates on a schedule

Security hardening, patching, and malware cleanup

Automatic backups with a restore we've actually tested

The queue of small fixes and content edits, handled

Performance and Core Web Vitals kept in the green

FAQ

Questions worth asking.

What's included in a care plan?

Fast, monitored hosting with SSL, software and security updates, automatic backups with a tested restore, performance work, a queue for small fixes and content edits, and plain monthly reporting.

Does this cover our computers and email accounts?

No. This plan ends at the website and its hosting. Workstations, the office network, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace accounts, and business backups are Managed IT & Security. Plenty of clients run both on one bill; they're scoped separately so you always know what you're paying for.

Do you have to have built my site?

No. We take over existing sites all the time. If it's in rough shape, we start with Website Rescue to get a clear read first.

What counts as a small fix versus a project?

Edits, swaps, small additions, and breakage are care. A new section, a redesign, or a new feature is project work, scoped separately so you always know which is which.

What happens when something breaks?

Support requests are handled with context from the systems we build and host, reducing diagnosis and resolution time.

Is hosting included or separate?

Included. Hosting, SSL, monitoring, and backups are part of the plan, so it's one bill and one point of responsibility.
